These are some pictures of the ultrasound that I had done when I was around 18 weeks pregnant.
The bottom left photo is a “face” shot which looks pretty creepy, showing the baby’s skull and the eye sockets! And the two on the right hand side are both profile shots. If you look closely you can see the baby’s head and the belly! The shot on the top left is of a foot, on here it is kind of hard to see, but you can see the foot and the tiny toes if you look very closely!!
At the Ultrasound yesterday the technician gave us about 8 different pictures, but they did not turn out as good as these ones. Apparently the best time to view a baby through Ultrasound is between 17-22 weeks. During that time the images are the most clear.

I came across your blog while trying to find out the best time to see the baby in an ultrsound.
I just had one done last week (I am in my 16th week) and it was pretty clear. But I want to go in again in my 21st week.
Unfortunately, sex determination is illegal here so I can’t find out the sex of the baby
I guess I’ll have to wait another 5 months for that 
I am visiting US and I was wondering if I could get some info from you regarding how much does one ultrasound scan cost (approximate) if I don’t have health insurance. If possible, please e-mail me.

I live in Canada, and here it is covered through my health care plan. I do have extended health coverage through my work but I am pretty sure that it is just covered through the “regular” health care system. As for the U.S I have no idea. I think that the health care is privatized there… but I am not too sure. Sorry, I wish I could help you! Anyway I thank you for visiting, and good luck with your pregnancy!
